Congratulations to all of our graduates! We had several Jo Kelly Stars graduate on Monday, some represented by proud family members.💫 We've been honored to serve these students and their families for years at Jo Kelly School. Our staff and community are proud to cheer them on to their next adventures!

Up, Up, and Away! Jo Kelly danced, laughed and celebrated an amazing school year at Prom! We love opportunities to have our students' families join in on the fun. Prom was a huge success for the 2025-2026 school year- thanks to everyone who made it possible!💫☁️🪩🎈

Jo Kelly students are constantly working towards meaningfully communicating their needs at school, home and in the community. We appreciate all the work our speech-language pathologists do to promote student communication in the classrooms!💫🤩

The end of the school year is quickly approaching, but our Stars are still hard at work-- even in the kitchen! Cooking classes engage multiple senses and come with yummy treats. 🍽️😋

"I have 4 children, one whom was born with Down syndrome. He's the reason my heart was led to special education. This is my 12th year at Jo Kelly. My goal is to foster my students' individual growth. I strive to empower them by creating a more inclusive environment. I promise to build strong bonds, celebrate every victory and advocate for their rights. My favorite essay is: 'Welcome to Holland' by Emily Perl Kingsley. My favorite saying comes from the Special Olympics: 'Let me win. But if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.' My favorite poem is: 'Cause I Ain't Got a Pencil' by Joshua T. Dickerson. My favorite color is purple!"

"I was born and raised in Fort Worth and attended FWISD from kindergarten through 12th grade. I am married to my wonderful husband James, and we have 2 amazing sons. We also have 3 cats, and 3 dogs which keep us entertained and busy!
This is my 6th year at Jo Kelly School! Jo Kelly is such a special and unique place, and I am proud to work with our amazing students. My favorite part of working at Jo Kelly is spending time with my students. Getting to be such a big part of their lives, and witness their amazing abilities and triumphs, makes me so immensely proud. When you see your student achieve a skill they have been working on, and being a part of the pride they feel is a privilege.
My why: Each day, even on the hard days, I can meet my students where they are and celebrate all the progress they make. No achievement is too small to celebrate!
