Meet Maddie, a teacher here at Key School and incoming Key Dyslexia Therapy Training Program (KDTTP) trainee starting this July. ✨
"As someone with dyslexia, I've always been interested in finding a way to help others learn how to read. I think seeing the impact firsthand as a teacher here at Key School is what made me want to take the next step and enroll in the Key Dyslexia Therapy Training Program.”
This will be the LAST info session to enroll in the next cohort that starts classes in July! Our Key Dyslexia Therapy Training Program prepares educators to become certified Academic Language Therapists (ALTs) or practitioners, and getting started is easier than you think. This free virtual info session on June 3 at 4 PM is the first step to impacting the lives of those 1 in 5 students with a learning difference.

Our Key School garden is making headlines! 🌱
Volunteers and parents, Kanani and Amanda started with an idea four years ago and grew it into something truly special. What began as a vegetable garden has become a thriving club where students build confidence, practice self-regulation and connect with nature alongside their peers and community volunteers.
We are so thankful for Kanani, Amanda, and every student who has gotten their hands dirty to upkeep our garden and outdoor learning space. Thank you to the Fort Worth Report for telling this story. 💙

Meet Maci, one of our teachers here at Key School and now an Academic Language Practitioner (ALP). 🎓
"Being a trainee in Key School's Dyslexia Therapy Training Program while teaching here at the same time has been so beneficial. It's so fun to see how much I can apply what I've learned every day in the classroom and watch the kids grow."

Today at Key, we held our 4th Annual Roots Bee! 🌱
Think of it like a spelling bee, but instead of spelling words, our students compete on Greek and Latin root words. Why does that matter? Because once you know the roots, you hold the key to unlocking the meaning of thousands of English words on your own. For students with language-based learning differences like dyslexia, that kind of word power is everything. Congratulations to this year’s 1st place winner, James from 9th grade! 🏆
