Why is it important for trained rescuers to deliver the highest-quality CPR possible?

Even when CPR is performed perfectly it is not as efficient at delivering blood as when the heart is pumping independently.

When performing high quality CPR; it provides only 10% to 30% of normal blood flow to the heart and only 30% to 40% of normal blood flow to the brain. This is why it is very important to provide the highest-quality CPR possible.
