A reading of COVID The Bad Germ, a children's story that explains and reassures children about the coronavirus pandemic. Read by the author, Kathryn Roman, this is the tale of how a community working together for a common cause can make the very bad germ go away.

When my grandchildren ask me, “What did you do during the coronavirus, Mimi?” I will answer that I wrote a book about COVID. And if they ask, “Why?” I will tell them I love children so much that I wanted to write a book that would reassure and explain what the virus is, and what we can do to make it go away. I consulted doctors to make sure I was presenting age-appropriate and correct information. I wanted to relay a sense of optimism by showing how a town rallied together to fight The Bad Germ. The message from parents to children should not be “We will make it all better” but that “We will always take care of you.”

Amazon has temporarily blocked any book related to COVID-19 being published so please order directly from the website in the meantime. Also, we were very cautious with the content of the book and received feedback from pediatricians, child psychologists, teachers and an infectious disease specialist.

How do people get rid of a bad germ who comes to town?

In COVID The Bad Germ, children are entertained by a sneaky virus that arrives unannounced and unwanted. It takes everyone working together to rid their town of it. Parents provide comfort and explain to their children why it’s important to wash their hands and stay away from crowds. Buy your copy here - https://codybearbooks.com/shop/covid-the-bad-germ
