The youth named this "So Close, yet so Far." They are hurt by the laws passing banning books, attacks on our immigrant community, and attacks on the MBK/MSK youth themselves at FWISD board meetings.

The Paletero is at the center to honor our people
grinding and working to make a living. The astronauts are heroes/sheroes that have taken full advantage of education and made it into space. They did it by embracing their roots and brought our gente with
them on their journey.

The Monarch butterflies represent immigration. Our people have always migrated. Some to work in the fields, others to join their loved ones, but all seeking better opportunities. We are not from here or from there. We are from everywhere.

We want to thank all the sponsors that helped pay for the paint and food. Thank you to Cinco De Mayo Bar and Grill for believing in the youth and partnering with us. We appreciate you.
