Hill School Hill School is a K-12 college preparatory, full-service school in southwest Fort Worth for bright, motivated students who learn differently.

At Hill School, a diagnosis of learning differences doesn’t mean that you do “easy work” or get a free ride. It’s all about strategies and training so that students can define and achieve their goals. We’ve been hearing from successful Hill alumni and former students often this year, and the common denominator we see in each of these young adults is their commitment to enhance their strengths thro

ugh hard work. Work hard to achieve success. Hard work is required for success. Both of these phrases are heard over and over again at Hill School. The intensity of effort is an essential determinant of success in academics and in life for all students, but especially for those who learn differently.

Our Hill School vans just got a BIG upgrade and are officially sporting our Hill School logo and Hawk!

We’re so excited to see our vans out in the community representing our amazing school for different field trips and athletic games!

Day 1 of the 2026–2027 school year is officially in the books! 📚✏️

From the excitement of seeing familiar faces to welcoming new students into our Hawk community, our halls were filled with smiles and so much energy for a new year!

A huge thank you to our HPA for hosting our Parent Coffee this morning and helping kick off the year with such a warm welcome for our families. ☕️ We’re also so grateful to PJ's Coffee and the Grimes family for generously donating coffee for our parents and staff. Your kindness helped make the first morning extra special!

Yesterday, our Board members came together for an engaging and insightful orientation led by consultant Dr. John Cooper with the Education Group. The session deepened our shared understanding of Board leadership and strengthened the foundation that supports The Hill School’s mission and vision.

We are profoundly grateful to our Board members for their service. They bring a wide range of skills, professional backgrounds, and lived experiences that enrich our community and empower Hill School to carry out its mission with excellence. Their collective expertise, spanning many fields and perspectives, ensures that our school continues to thrive and remain responsive to the needs of the students and families we serve. Their commitment reflects the strength, clarity, and stewardship required to guide our school forward.

We also extend our appreciation to Dr. Cooper for sharing his expertise and helping us grow as leaders. Strong Boards help build strong organizations, and we are energized by the collective wisdom and dedication that will carry us forward.

: The Hill School Upper School science teacher Mr. Adam Vance recently participated in the STORM program (Students Transforming Our Resource Mindset), a week-long immersive education program offered by the Tarrant County Regional Water District for Tarrant County students and teachers.

The program provided unique, real-world insights into our local water supply system, water resource planning, management, and conservation.

Participants connected with professionals in the water industry,
explored careers in water resources, and were inspired to become advocates for water.

As Mr. Vance enters his 35th year of teaching, he shared that STORM was one of the best workshops he has attended. He is excited to bring what he learned back to his students and encourage interested juniors and seniors to participate in next summer’s program.

We’re grateful for opportunities like STORM that equip educators with meaningful experiences they can share with the next generation! 💧🌱

This school year is about to take flight ✈️❤️

This week, our faculty and staff have been back on campus getting everything ready for an incredible year ahead. We have welcomed our newest team members and began diving into in-service, training, and classroom preparations to welcome you back!

All that’s missing is YOU! Families, join us tomorrow evening for our Back-to-School Bash from 6:00–8:00 p.m. It’s the perfect chance to meet your teachers, walk through your schedules and kick off an amazing school year together.
