🎶🌹 HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH — WEEK 2 SPOTLIGHT! 🌹🎶

This week, we’re celebrating the life, music, and legacy of Selena Quintanilla! 💜✨

Known as the “Queen of Tejano Music,” Selena became an important figure in Mexican-American culture and helped introduce Tejano music to audiences around the world. 🇲🇽🎤

Throughout the week, our students will have an opportunity to listen to Selena’s music, learn about her life and Mexican-American heritage, and discover why her influence continues to be celebrated today. 🎵🌎

We’ll also talk about some of the values reflected in her story — dreaming big, working hard, celebrating your culture, and using your talents to inspire others. ❤️

Our goal during Hispanic Heritage Month is to introduce our students to the people, cultures, music, art, traditions, and contributions that have helped shape our communities.

🌹 This week, we celebrate Selena!
“Dreaming of you, always.” 🎶

Different cultures. Shared values. Brighter tomorrows. 🌎❤️

🌎💃🏽 Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month at Arka Montessori Academy! 🎉❤️

This week, our school community came together to celebrate the beauty, history, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino cultures! 🇲🇽🇵🇷🇨🇺🇩🇴🇨🇴🇸🇻🇬🇹✨

We kicked off our celebration with a special Hispanic Heritage Breakfast for our families featuring breakfast tacos, festive decorations, and a morning filled with community and connection. 🌮☀️ Our students have also been exploring different cultures, learning about influential Hispanic leaders and artists, and participating in special activities throughout the week.

We love creating opportunities for our children to see that our differences are something to learn about, appreciate, and celebrate. ❤️
