Ever wanted to practice healthcare… without the pressure of a real patient? 😅
UNT Health’s Simulation Lab is where things get real (but not too real). High-tech mannequins + hands-on scenarios = you feeling like a future healthcare pro real quick. 🏥✨
For registered dietitian nutrition students, this is where “I learned this in class” turns into “ohhh this actually matters.” 🥗 Real-life patient scenarios, teamwork, and seeing how nutrition fits into the bigger picture.
Basically: learn, practice, repeat… and have fun doing it 😄

Meet Olanike A. Shamonda, one of our incoming Master of Science in Clinical Nutrition students!
She chose the program for its strong emphasis on clinical nutrition, research, and evidence‑based practice, and its focus on creating meaningful impact in patient care and community health as she works toward becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
🌱 Olanike hopes to work in clinical and community settings, with interests in chronic disease prevention, patient education, public health nutrition, and advancing health equity through research.
💬 Inspired by the quote, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food” — Hippocrates, she believes deeply in the power of nutrition to support healing and well‑being.
We’re excited to welcome Olanike to the UNT Health community!
