The Lower School celebrated the last day of school with one of our most cherished traditions, the Grade 4 Prophecy Breakfast! Teachers shared heartfelt and often humorous predictions about what the future may hold for each student. The day concluded with the Lower School Closing Ceremonies, where we reflected on a year of growth, achievement, and community. Congratulations to all of our Lower School students on a fantastic year, we can't wait to see what your futures hold! โจ

The last morning of school = House Games showdown! ๐๐ฅ Middle School students wrapped up the year with teamwork, friendly competition, and so much school spirit. From relay races to cheering on teammates, it was the perfect way to celebrate an incredible year together! ๐

๐ Senior Spotlight: Henry DePold ๐ ๐๐
Congratulations to Henry DePold on his decision to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University!
Henry plans to study Aerospace Engineering and was drawn to Embry-Riddle for its prestigious program, strong industry connections, aerospace-focused environment, and beautiful campus.
He shares that working collaboratively with classmates to solve challenging and meaningful problems at Canterbury helped prepare him for this next step. Henry would like to thank Mr. Chiang for being a supportive and helpful teacher throughout his physics classes.

Yesterday, we celebrated Canterburyโs incredible Class of 2026 at our College Decision Celebration! ๐โจ
This fall, our seniors will enroll at 21 different colleges in 10 states โ from California to Massachusetts โ with 58% staying in Indiana and 42% heading out of state to continue their journeys.
Their accomplishments are remarkable:
โญ 100% held at least one college acceptance by early February
โญ 88% applied to at least one college outside Indiana
โญ 74% applied to at least one highly ranked National University or Liberal Arts College
โญ 6 full-tuition or full-ride merit scholarships earned
โญ Admission to 14 Honors Colleges or Programs
โญ A U.S. Presidential Scholar semifinalist
โญ Acceptance to a selective overseas gap year program

๐ Senior Spotlight: Preston Erb ๐ ๐๐
Congratulations to Preston Erb on his decision to attend Miami University!
Preston plans to study Marketing and Aerospace Studies. He was drawn to Miami for its beautiful campus, strong student life, and academic reputation.
He would like to thank Dr. Novak for the great conversations about history and for the opportunity to explore Dr. Novakโs book in depth this year.

๐ Senior Spotlight: Kathryn Julia Valcarcel ๐ ๐๐
Congratulations to Kathryn Julia Valcarcel on her decision to attend Ball State University!
Kathryn has been accepted into Ball Stateโs B/MD program and will follow the pre-med track before continuing her studies at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She was also awarded both the Whitinger Scholarship, covering full tuition, and the Rinker Scholarship for study abroad opportunities.
She shares that Canterburyโs balance of academics, athletics, and the arts helped her develop into a well-rounded student, and that the schoolโs strong sense of community gave her confidence to pursue ambitious goals.
Kathryn would like to thank Ms. Lyon for her invaluable guidance throughout the college process, and Mrs. Laipple for her long-standing support of her Canterbury journey since kindergarten.

Congratulations to Rayna Patel on her decision to attend IU Bloomington!
Rayna plans to major in Human Biology and Art with a minor in Biochemistry. She was drawn to IU for its strong pre-med opportunities, including research and a wide range of academic courses.
She shares that Canterburyโs writing department helped her develop strong writing skills that will support her in college and beyond.
Rayna would like to give a special shoutout to โBubbles,โ the unofficial emotional support dog in physics, and Mr. Chiang for his memorable (and sometimes challenging!) diagrams.

Lauren plans to study Exploratory Science and was drawn to Xavier for its strong pre-med program and personalized educational experience.
