We are fully back into the swing of things! Today was our first full day back (we had half days last week). We started small group math instruction, large group writing instruction, science groups, and Side Quests (interest based learning projects). Tomorrow we start small group reading instruction for our youngest students!
It was a BUSY but GOOD day!

Some days we teach things like algebra or reading or science.
Some days we just ask questions. Questions like, “Why does the cat deserve a hotdog?”
“Why does the hot dog have to be microwaved? Why not grilled or boiled?”
“Why do you hate proper grammar?!”
And…”What does that even mean?!”
It’s never a dull moment when it comes to teaching kids and we are SO glad to have them back at school! 🤣

It’s been a great couple of days back at school! Our new students started on Monday and our returning students start on Wednesday! Can’t wait to be back and fully in the swing of things!

2 DAYS UNTIL SCHOOL!
Just a friendly reminder that in 48 hours...
😴 You'll have to get out of bed before noon.
🚿 Showers will become a daily expectation again.
🪥 Brushing your teeth will no longer be "optional."
🎮 Video games will have a pause button.
📱 "Just one more video..." won't work anymore.
🎒 And packed lunches will officially replace 'round the clock snacks as your daily nutrition.
Don't worry... we'll make it worth it.
We can't wait to welcome our students back for another year of learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

3 Days Until School Starts!
Did you know? A sloth only comes down from its tree about once every 3 days to go to the bathroom!
Luckily, our students won't have to wait that long to get moving! In just 3 days, our classrooms will be filled with curiosity, laughter, hands-on learning, and the excitement of a brand-new school year.
We're counting down the days until we welcome our Kainos students back home.

One hour of your time could change a student's future.
Our students are discovering who they are and who they want to become. One of the greatest gifts you can give them is your story.
We're looking for members of our community to spend about an hour at Kainos sharing about your career, business, trade, nonprofit, or organization that serves our community. You don't have to be a professional speaker, just someone willing to invest a little time in the next generation.
Sometimes all it takes is one conversation to spark a dream, build confidence, or help a student see a future they never imagined.
