📚 WE’RE HIRING a MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL MATH ACADEMIC COACH

Do you enjoy teaching math and working with teens? Become an Academic Coach and help middle & high school students build the skills, confidence, and independence they need to succeed!

You’ll help students with:
• Middle & high school math & science courses
• Homework & test prep
• Study skills, organization & time management

The position:
• Part-time — 2 after-school/evenings per week (ideally T/Th)
• 6 tutoring hours (3 hrs/day) + planning
• Onsite at our partner location, the Fort Wayne Boys & Girls Clubs
• Degree and experience teaching middle/high school students required
• Training provided

This year, we’re honoring an incredible milestone—20 years of dedication, patience, and life-changing learning with one of our amazing tutors at Specialty Tutoring.

What started as a desire to better support her own child’s learning journey turned into two decades of helping students grow, gain confidence, and believe in themselves.

📚 Her favorite part of the job? The kids—of course!
🌟 A favorite success story? A student who began reading at a 1st-grade level and, just one year later, was reading near a 6th-grade level.
🎲 Her secret to making learning fun? Targeted learning games
🐱 Fun fact: She has 7 cats!

As the temperatures drop, there’s something special about curling up with a cozy blanket and a good book. 📚🍂

This week in the Learning Center, we overheard two students who reminded us just how powerful that experience can be:

4th grader: “I used to HATE reading, but now it’s fun!”
11th grader: “I never used to read before coming here, but now I can’t put some books down!”

Moments like these remind us why we do what we do — because once reading becomes a joy instead of a struggle, a whole new world opens up. 💛
