As Spring is arriving at Green Oak Farm, it's thrilling to see the trees we planted last Fall begin to leaf and bloom at their new home. The new trees for the orchard are blooming in the garage, but will be planted soon. The old namesake oak is as beautiful as ever!

The frigid weather today presented the perfect conditions to both seed the tall grass prairie and to initiate the fireplace.

We adopted a new Bur Oak to join our family of oaks here at Green Oak Farm. Ron Bunt found us a real beauty. We look forward to watching it grow as this lovely tree and we both set deep roots in this soil.

We are happy to announce that after 5 years of dreaming, saving, planning, researching, making countless "to do lists" and reviewing every inch we are finally able to call Green Oak Farm our home. Though we still have lots of boxes to unpack, the move went as smoothly as we could have hoped, and we are thrilled with how it is all coming together.
More photos will follow as the interior takes shape and as the landscaping gets underway, but we just wanted to share a few photos with our first dinner guests.
Who else to help us celebrate, but our dear friends John Gevers and Gregory Fryzel, who have shared each step of this journey with us and with you!
