Northrop Show Choirs

Current show choir members and guardians:

This morning, you should have received communication through our new tool, CutTime, to the contact information that is on file, either from previous years or from the contact sheet that you may have returned at the parent meeting in May. We have had several reports of emails bouncing, so this should help streamline communication via both email and SMS. Please enter any additional caregivers who should be receiving information about upcoming events, fundraising, and schedules - students can have multiple adults linked!

In addition, Mr. Budd has arranged show choir retreats next week at Northrop to help our groups get to know one another and strengthen their bonds and confidence. Allure will meet on Friday, August 14th from 3:30-7:00pm and Charisma will meet on Saturday, August 15th from 9:30am-2:00pm. (If your student is unavailable, please simply reach out to Mr. Budd to let him know, he understands this was not communicated far in advance.)

Looking ahead - mandatory parent meetings will be Tuesday, August 25th at 6:30pm for Allure and Wednesday, August 26th at 6:30pm for Charisma.

Upcoming Reminders:

Mini-camps for 26-27 show choir students will be taking place this week from 9am-noon. Monday and Tuesday students who auditioned and were accepted to Allure should report and on Wednesday and Thursday students who were accepted to Charisma should attend!

Also, remember that the fall concessions sign-ups are open and we DESPERATELY need people to sign up for shifts. The first game is on August 12th and we currently don't have anyone signed up to work. Performers are expected to have 4 shifts worked on their behalf (either by students or family members) for each of the 3 sports seasons or their fees will increase by $500. Mark your calendars for a Blaze pizza dine-to-donate night on Wednesday, August 19th from 5-9pm!

We will also be at the Johnny Appleseed Festival on September 19th and 20th, so please watch for an upcoming signup to help with that fundraiser!

Northrop sporting events will be starting up in just a couple weeks, so it’s time to start signing up for concessions shifts! Remember that it is REQUIRED for each student to have at least 4 shifts worked on their behalf for each athletic season - fall, winter, and spring (unless you are opting out and incurring the additional $500 per student fee). Students, family members, and alumni can work shifts as long as they are approved FWCS volunteers. Please make sure to sign up with the name of the person working so we can verify background checks are completed. Concessions make a HUGE impact on our show choir budget and are a great way to be a part of our amazing program community!

Don't forget that this Thursday we have a dine to donate night from 4-8pm at the Dupont Rd. Panera!! It's the perfect excuse to not have to cook. 😋

Students who auditioned and were selected to be in one of our show choir groups this school year are expected to attend show choir mini-camp.
Allure will attend Monday, August 3rd and Tuesday, August 4th from 9am to noon.
Charisma will attend Wednesday, August 5th and Thursday, August 6th from 9am to noon.

Hello all! I hope you got to enjoy the beautiful 3 day weekend!

As we close concessions until Aug, we for sure have pop for sale! Some might be just past expiration, or they will be expiring before the Fall concessions in Aug. Pop will be $1 each. We have plenty of Mt Dew, Pepsi, Dr. Pepper, Starry, reg and strawberry lemonade, along with some diet mt dew, diet Pepsi, and some Pepsi zero. We could potentially have chips and candy available as well.

If you are interested in anything, please let me know and I can meet you at the school. A lot of the pop is already cold, but we have some that haven’t been cold yet. I'll be over at the stadium tomorrow, Tuesday, May 26th. 630-715, time frame. I can do cash or cards, Zelle, PayPal, or Venmo
