The ETCS Engineering Bootcamp at Purdue University Fort Wayne is the perfect opportunity for students in Grades 7-9 and their parent or guardian to experience engineering firsthand. Through hands-on workshops, CNC machining activities, guest speakers, and collaborative challenges, families will discover what it's like to think and work like an engineer.

We were proud to partner with the Fort Wayne Urban League with their Youth Work Ready Program and celebrate the incredible impact this initiative has made for local youth. 🤝

Together, we've helped prepare young people for future success through career exploration, workplace readiness training, resume development, mock interviews, networking opportunities, and direct employer connections.

The results speak for themselves:

✅ 24 program graduates
✅ 90.7% average attendance rate
✅ Meaningful connections with employers and community partners

Our team placed 35th out of 50 teams in the preliminary rounds—a strong effort in a highly competitive field. While only the top 10 teams advanced to finals, this achievement reflects the hard work, innovation, and dedication of everyone involved.

And the momentum continues—Emma and her team recently represented their work at the Health Systems Innovation Lab (HSIL) Hackathon in Boston, competing alongside top-tier talent including healthcare professionals and Ivy League graduate students. While the competition was tough, their innovative ideas earned positive feedback and meaningful recognition, making it a valuable and inspiring experience. 🌟

A team of student innovators has earned 🥇 1st Place in the Education Track at LA Hacks 2026 (UCLA)—competing against 1,000+ participants from top universities worldwide. In just 36 hours, they developed StudyO, an EdTech platform designed to support diverse learning styles and improve student outcomes. Their work impressed judges from Google, Amazon, and Cloudinary, who highlighted the project’s strong startup potential and encouraged the team to explore accelerator opportunities. This achievement reflects outstanding creativity, technical skill, and entrepreneurial vision on a global stage.
