Regionals are knocking on our doors! This WEEKEND our students are competing in our SkillsUSA Regional competition, competing for the top spots to make it to state.

ALUMNI!!! We really encourage alumni to stop in and check things out. Come support the students and say hello to the staff! You will be welcomed oh so warmly.

Our Skills USA Regional competition is right around the corner! On Saturday January 31st, 100+ students will be competing in Masonry, Carpentry, HVACR, Cabinetmaking, Electrical, Plumbing, Sheet Metal, Heavy Equipment Operation, Job Skills Demonstration, and Team Works competitions!

Our students have been working HARD this last semester, learning and mastering their trades to bring some real talent to the competition this year. Don’t miss out on the chance to come and support!

A little look into the trades from these last few weeks! Our electricians are finishing up the wiring for the Habitat for Humanity home, our masons are practicing laying brick to a line so they can put up a brick veneer at Fort Wayne’s Safety Village, and our civil construction class poured a driveway! It’s awesome to see the improvements out of everyone from our trades, and we’re getting prepared for SkillsUSA this year 😼

Construction trades students at the JA JobSpark career fair showed up with some hands on learning activities to represent the trades. Pictured are masonry, carpentry, electrical, civil engineering and plumbing. Honorable mention: hvac 😌

Important Reminder!!! Tomorrow's competitions kick off at 8am sharp and conclude at noon. Lunch, prizes, and awards ceremony will follow! Please note that the front lot is reserved for guests with mobility issues. Students, don't forget to park in designated areas - Jensen cabinet lot, side Calhoun lots, or the parking garage. Hi! Anthis Career Academy Construction Trades is hosting regionals on February 1st! Competitors come at 7:15am, and guests and alumni are welcome to come at 10am! Join us and watch our fellow classmates grow and compete at 125 Murray St.

The Boys and Girls Club of Fort Wayne was at our building tonight exploring the different trades. Each student was able to build and take home a ring toss game as well as some extra knowledge in reading tape measures, drilling holes, sanding, and blueprint reading. Everyone also got the opportunity to lay some brick in our masonry lab and learn a little bit about electrical circuits in our electrical lab.

It was a successful weekend for the Career Academy Construction Trades down in Indianapolis at the 2024 SkillsUSA Indiana State Competition

Cabinet Making, Cabinet Making Post-Secondary, Teamworks, Plumbing, Masonry, and Sheet Metal students are all advancing to the SkillsUSA National Competition in Atlanta, GA this June!!

Congratulations to all students who went to state and competed this year. And Good luck to all the students who will be advancing to Nationals.

Appreciation post for all of the students, staff, local businesses, and everyone else who helps make this event possible. We had over 130 students involved this year. The first time we hosted this event we had 2 students and 2 judges. Thank you everyone who had any part in making today possible. Good luck to all the students advancing to state.
