Bell rung and goals achieved! Congratulations to Tish on her new position as a Medical Assistant Scheduler at Orthopedics Northeast.

Today, we celebrated important milestones in the LSSI Works program.

We honored nine participants who completed the Foundations phase, each taking meaningful steps toward stability, growth, and long‑term success. Your hard work, commitment, and willingness to lean into change deserve recognition.

We also celebrated Howard, who reached one year of employment with S & K Pallets. His journey reminds us that lasting change is built through consistency, focus, and determination.

One of the most powerful moments of the day came from Howard’s own words: “I used to hear, but now I’m listening. Even when it’s hard to hear, or something I didn’t think. Now, I listen and I’m focused.”

Thank you to all of our participants and to Howard, for sharing your stories, encouraging one another, and taking the next steps toward stability. We are proud of every milestone reached today and excited for what’s ahead.

We are thrilled to introduce Ashley Gerig, our new Workforce Empowerment Facilitator, who will be leading participants through the first phase of the LSSI Works Program.

Ashley brings a deep passion for empowering individuals to see the bigger picture of what meaningful employment can bring—purpose, stability, and renewed direction.

With a strong background in supporting individuals with disabilities and helping people navigate challenges, advocate for themselves, and understand workplace rights, Ashley is committed to personalized, person-centered support. She believes success looks different for everyone—and she’s dedicated to helping each participant achieve their own definition of success.

Ashley shares: “Employment is more than a paycheck—it can bring purpose, stability, and meaning to life. I’m excited for this next chapter and the opportunity to empower others as they work toward their goals.”

Her dedication to meaningful life change—and her wholehearted commitment to participants, coworkers, and partners—make her a powerful addition to the LSSI Works team.

✨ Fun fact: When she’s not at work, you can find Ashley spoiling her “most handsome” dog and giving him his absolute best life.
