Levan Scott Academy, home of the Cadets. #1 School in the Nation! Levan R. Scott Academy opened in 1955 as Southern Heights Elementary School.
The school’s original name came from the neighborhood where the school was located. In 2000, the school was renamed for Dr. Levan R. Scott, who served Fort Wayne Community Schools for 28 years, retiring in 1986 as assistant superintendent in charge of administrative services. Students and families were excited to come to LSA’s Back to School Night on Aug. 10. Students had an opportunity to meet their teachers, parents had a chance to see their child’s classroom and staff are thrilled to start a new school year. Welcome back Cadets!
