EES:
Tuition for weekly 30 minute music lessons with Jason Sain is $80 per month. Students may choose to take a 60 minute lesson each week; in this case, tuition is $160 per month. Payment may be made with either check or cash. Checks should be made out to Jason Sain. Tuition paid after the first week of the month should include a $5 late fee. If tuition is paid in cash please enclose the payment in an envelope labeled with the student’s name. ATTENDANCE POLICIES:
Typically student recieves 4 private music lessons in a month -- one lesson each week during the month. However, tuition remains the same regardless of how many lessons a student chooses to attend during the month. A student’s attendance at a weekly lesson is his or her choice. However, missed lessons are not made up or credited. When a student has a conflict with his lesson time, he is encouraged to call another student on the teacher’s schedule and switch lesson times to avoid missing his weekly lesson. Monthly tuition reserves the student’s lesson slot; Jason is not obligated to reschedule a weekly lesson for a different time slot if a student has a scheduling conflict. Lessons missed because of the teacher’s absence will be made up, credited, or refunded. PUNCTUALITY:
Lessons will end at the assigned time, regardless of the student’s punctuality. Jason is not obligated to extend a lesson because of a student’s tardiness. If Jason is late to a lesson, the lesson with be extended, made up, credited, or partially refunded. SCHEDULING:
If no lesson times are available, you may request to be placed on the waiting list for the next available opening. Students may discontinue lessons at any time with a required one-month notice of their leaving. Students who fail to give one month’s notice will not receive a refund for any missed lessons and will be expected to pay for their last month of lessons in full. SCHEDULED STUDIO BREAKS:
The studio will be closed 4 weeks a year for holidays including: 2 weeks for Christmas & New Year’s, 1 week for Spring Break & 1 week for Independance Day. These breaks will correspond with the Levelland Public Schools scheduled breaks. During the months some students will recieve only 3 lessons. Each year some months include 5 weeks rather than 4. During these months students will recieve a 5th lesson for free. Tuition will remain the same during every month regardless of how many lessons a student attends. The schedule is based on a 48 week year (12 months of 4 weeks each) but there are actually 52 weeks in a year. This schedule allows Jason Sain to have consistent income from tuition payments and it allows students to have a consistent tuition payment. Students do not have to pay a higher tuition rate during the longer months. GROUP LESSONS:
Normally all music lessons with Jason Sain are private (one on one) lessons. Three weeks out of every year students will be offered a schedule of group lessons in lieu of private lessons. The week of Memorial Day, Labor Day and Thanksgiving there will be no private lessons all week long. But students may sign up to attend group lessons where Jason Sain will cover special topics such as music theory, songwriting, lyric writing, music composition, performance techniques, music history, sound engineering techniques, etc. All classes are included in the price of regular monthly tuition. A student may attend an unlimited amount of group lessons. Students may bring guests to the group lessons free of charge. LESSON LOCATION:
Lessons take place in Jason Sain’s home. A parent should be present for all lessons involving students under 18 years old. Please be respectful of Jason’s home while waiting for your lesson. Parents and students are welcome to wait in Jason Sain’s living room before, after and during lessons. However, Jason will not be responsible for the student while waiting for their ride or for walking them to their car. IN-HOME LESSONS:
Lessons may also take place in the student’s home. In-home lessons are available for an extra $20 travel fee per month. In that case, tuition is $100 per month. The travel fee is per location -- if a family has more than one student in the home -- they only pay one $20 travel fee per month.
