“Pre‑2024
Finding a new identity
After a significant weight loss, I hit a plateau. I was bored, restless, and looking for something that felt like an adventure. CrossFit gave me that. More importantly, it gave me a version of myself I had never really believed in.
For most of my life I struggled with confidence. In the gym, I started feeling proud of what my body could do. I felt strong, capable, even a little dangerous in the best possible way. Somewhere along the way, I stopped seeing myself as a former couch potato and started thinking of myself as an athlete, a word I never imagined I’d use to describe myself.
Post‑2024
Rebuilding after a cardiac arrest
After an unexplained sudden cardiac arrest, I thought that feeling was gone forever. The confidence, the toughness, the sense that I could push through hard things, it all seemed shattered.
But CrossFit had already taught me something deeper than workouts: grit. It taught me to keep moving when things are uncomfortable, uncertain, and scary. Recovery wasn’t about setting PRs. It was about pushing through fear, rebuilding trust in myself, and proving that I could keep going. Now I don’t just feel strong. I know I have the resilience to face things I once thought were impossible.

Setting an example
Today, I do CrossFit for my family. I want my wife and son to see what grit, work ethic, and doing hard things looks like in practice. I want to know I can run, play, carry my child, help my family, and be physically capable when it matters.
At this stage, CrossFit isn’t just about me. It’s about becoming the kind of husband and father who leads by example and chooses hard things because they make us stronger.” 💥💪🏼🧠

In here, being last doesn’t mean being alone.
We wait. We cheer. We push. We finish together.
Because CrossFit was never just about the workout — it’s about the people beside you when it gets hard. The ones yelling your name when you want to quit. The ones reminding you that community carries you farther than pride ever will.
No one finishes alone here. That’s family. That’s community. That’s who we are. 💥💪🏼🧠

Today’s workout was dedicated to our very own, Jesse.
Jesse was admitted to Riley’s Children Hospital on April 16th to have a cancerous tumor removed on her brain. She spent over a month in the hospital recovering and going through rehab and she’s FINALLY HOME!!!🩶🩵
