Gotta-Getta Goal

It’s an emotional evening for me. I just left the rink that I have been working at with almost every player that has played for Fort Wayne Youth hockey for the past 6 years.
It has been a rewarding experience! Rewarding in the sense that I have met an incredible group of people. I’ve been able to teach kids, of guys , I’ve coached in the 90’s. When people say that hockey is their life , they really don’t know what they are saying. Ask Mrs Coach, Nancy. She will explain what it is.
Another man that loved hockey just passed. Eddie and I have had some great talks. He not only knew hockey , he knew how the survive. RIP Mr Komet.
The boys and girls that I worked with were amazing. Many just wanted to just contribute to their team. Many wanted to Excell. We accomplished both.
Louie Kinipsher was one of those that loved to come and shoot. He was one of the kids that came to my basement to work and be a better hockey player. We will dearly miss Louie in Fort Wayne.
As I type I realize that I could write for hours about the people that I have had the pleasure of working. More important, knowing.
I’m going to stop now! I will drink my beer and remember you all!
Just one more shoutout to Jackson Leef. The inspiration to it all.

Congrats to Rylan Kuhn. He is a Fort Wayne kid that plays for the Oakland Grizzlies 14U AAA Team that just won the state of Michigan Championship! Way to go Rylan. GGG
