All of our summer programs are completely FREE and are designed to help students develop their skills, stay active, build friendships, and prepare for their upcoming seasons.
Because these opportunities are offered at no cost to families, we encourage you to register if you plan to attend so our coaches can adequately prepare equipment, drills, and instruction for the number of athletes participating. Registration is requested for each Skills Camp, but we understand that summer schedules can be busy. If your child has a vacation, appointment, family commitment, or cannot attend every session, that is absolutely okay. We would still love to have them participate whenever they are available.
Registration information can be found on our athletics website:

âThey say all good things must come to an endâ⌠and this year, Concordia says goodbye to two incredible eras.
Today, we celebrate the retirement of two of Concordiaâs most influential teachers: Mr. Steve Grim and Mrs. Angie Owen. While we are so excited for them as they begin this new chapter, they will be deeply missed within these halls.
For the past 39 years, Angie Owen has served faithfully at Concordia â and only at Concordia. When trying to list all of her gifts, accomplishments, and contributions, it almost seems easier to list the things she hasnât done. Throughout the years, Angie has taught multiple grade levels, led art classes, served on call committees, coached sports teams, played a major role in National Lutheran Schools Week and Field Day events, and faithfully served as a curriculum coach. Her impact on curriculum and education at Concordia has shaped generations of students and teachers alike.
Because of the incredible legacy she leaves behind, Concordia has established the Angie Owen Fine Arts Award. Each year, one 8th grade boy and one 8th grade girl will receive this honor in recognition of excellence in the fine arts â a lasting tribute to the passion, creativity, and dedication Angie brought to Concordia every single day. A plaque will hang on the wall in the school for all to see!
Mr. Grim has also served Concordia faithfully for many years â 42 years in education overall, including 33 years here at Concordia. Steve has dedicated so much time to this place that he practically lived here! (Just kidding⌠mostly.) More often than not, Mr. Grim was the last person out of the building, and if that doesnât show dedication and love for what you do, I donât know what does.
Throughout his years at Concordia, Mr. Grim taught middle school with a heavy focus on science, and students continue to benefit daily from the lessons he shared. He brought the Outdoor Education program to the middle school, and every spring, 6th grade students travel to Camp Lutherhaven to put the skills and knowledge he instilled in them into practice. Mr. Grim also spent countless hours outdoors with students in the Outdoor Classroom, teaching earth science in ways students will never forget.
Because of his dedication to science and outdoor education, Concordiaâs Outdoor Classroom has officially been renamed the Grim Outdoor Classroom. Last week at closing chapel, Steve was presented with a sign that will hang at the Outdoor Classroom entrance â a lasting reminder of the incredible impact he has had on generations of Concordia students.
In addition to teaching, Steve also faithfully served as Concordiaâs Athletic Director and coached countless student-athletes throughout the years. His organizational skills, calming manner, great sense of humor, and kind spirit are just a few of the many reasons students, athletes, families, and staff members will miss him so deeply.
What a blessing it has been to have both Angie and Steve as part of the Concordia family for so many years. Thank you both for your faithful service, leadership, dedication, and the countless lives you have impacted along the way.
We will miss you dearly. Godâs blessings on your retirement, Steve and Angie!
