We wanted to share a few photos from our Pet Explorer Spring Break Camp our Humane Education team put together April 1-5!

Children ages 6-12 had a whole day jam packed of learning about cat and dog body language, proper habitats, different careers such as Animal Control Officer and Veterinarian, playing games and meeting adoptable animals! 🐾

We are only able to successfully run these youth programs because of community donations, grants, and the fees from the programs. If you would like to help donate supplies for our upcoming summer camps, that would mean the world to us. We are most in need of disinfectant wipes, coloring utensils and construction paper. Items are listed on our shelter's Amazon Wishlist: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1CLHDEF56WE7M/ref=hz_ls_biz_ex?

Thank you to the students for a wonderful week of camps! Learn more about our programs on our website: https://www.cityoffortwayne.org/education.html

We had a great two days at the Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana JobSpark event! We had the opportunity to talk about different careers at our shelter to over 40 schools! We hope we inspired many young minds to consider a career in animal welfare.
