Fort Wayne Sister Cities works to promote international understanding between the citizens of Fort Wayne and the citizens of our Sister Cities through the development of personal relationships fostered by frequent student, civic, artistic, and business exchanges. Established in 1976 and organized in 1983 as an Indiana corporation, FWSCI, a 501(c)(3) Corporation, is affiliated with Sister Cities International, headquartered in Washington, D.C.

Our first-ever Sips from Our Sister Cities was a tremendous success! Guests enjoyed international flavors, cultural experiences, and meaningful conversations inspired by Fort Wayne's Sister Cities in Poland, Germany, Japan, and Myanmar.

✈️ Ever dreamed of representing Fort Wayne abroad?

Fort Wayne Sister Cities is looking for passionate community members to serve as chaperones for our 2027 international exchanges. This is a unique opportunity to support students, experience another culture, and help strengthen global connections.

Accepting Applications through June 15, 2026 (11:59pm) for chaperoning travel groups to Gera, Germany or Plock, Poland in Summer 2027.

Interview Date: July 16, 2026 between 4-7pm.

Minimum age of 25

Current/previous experience working with youth

Ability to obtain or hold CPR and first-aid certification valid through September of the travel year.

Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.

Availability to travel in June or July of the exchange year.
