Room 1 engaged in a big early birthday celebration as Smudge the class bunny turned 5! 5️⃣

Mrs. Roberts is a huge proponent of pets in the classroom. They help create a calm, engaging atmosphere that has been shown to lower stress AND enhances learning in subjects like literacy and fine motor development. Smudge loves books and her drawings too! 📖✍️

Studies have also found that pets in the classroom help improve student attendance. 🥰

Room 2 is under construction! 🔨🔩👷🏽‍♀️👷🏻

Giving children opportunities to construct & create helps build skills like spatial awareness, planning, evaluation and cooperation - all through PLAY!

Room 3 had a fun WACKY TACKY DAY!

We did some fun art projects, including coloring aluminum foil with markers & spraying water on it before rubbing paper on it to soak up the color! We also water painted with spray bottles on paper towels of spring cut outs AND had fun playing with Cloud Dough! 🎨🖍️💦

The fun and wackiness didn’t stop there. 🥰

Miss Renee came to read to us 📖 AND what better way to wrap up a WACKY DAY than with a dance party! 🪩

During these cold winter days, the kids in room 6 made their own McDonald’s drive-through! They were ordering all of their favorites 🥰

Sometimes on super hero day, you walk in and announce - “I’m a villain!”

And that is what makes preschool awesome!

BRRRRR ... Mrs. Wolff’s class brought the Arctic environment to our classroom this week!

One way to make educational learning FUN is to incorporate a theme & do activities based around it!

Writing in shaving cream, having an Arctic sensory table, counting and doing patterns with winter/Arctic manipulatives, and even using regular household items to help our polar bears get from one iceberg to the next - all were great ways to help our students grow and explore while they learned!
