A lot of students are intimidated by math and science gen ed classes. But PFW has completely free tutoring (including walk-in tutoring) to help you out with those classes!

"Communications Specialist" is a broad job title, but that's because it's a broad job! This role tends to cross a broad range of communication-related activities, including websites, social media, print marketing, press releases, media relations, and more.

If you have a hard time picking one area of communication to focus on, or if you like to do a variety of things on a daily basis, this career might be a good fit!

The fall semester may be rapidly approaching (!!), but it's not too late to register for classes! If you haven't registered yet, are thinking about adding another class or two, or want to change what you've already registered for, there's still time to do it.

If you've looked at Navigate recently, you may have noticed that you have more than one advisor. Which one do you talk to?

There's a lot of overlap between what Primary and Faculty advisors can do. But here are a few of the big differences.

The Cinema Center is currently showing Christoper Nolan's "The Odyssey" - and the showing on Sunday, July 26 is going to be special! PFW's own Dr. Damian Fleming, of the Purdue Fort Wayne Department of English, Medieval Studies at Purdue University Fort Wayne, and the famous Medieval Studies Movie Nights, will be leading a discussion after the show! The screening and discussion are open to everyone, and students get discounted tickets at the Cinema Center.

The Disability Access Center (DAC) is a resource for PFW students with any kind of disability. If you need any kind of accommodation, from extra time on tests to a more accessible classroom to an emotional support animal in student housing, start with them. They're also great to ask if you have questions or need resources!

Visit pfw.edu/disabilities or stop by in Walb Union room 113.

Is Throwback Thursday cringe now?

We don't care, we're still doing it. Here's what the department office looked like in 2001!

It ... actually hasn't changed all that much since then. Maybe we should do something about that.
