The whole month of December is a fun and exciting time here at Washington! We have been working on winter crafts and delivering holiday notes to the neighbors who live near our school. We will complete our time in school in December with our spirit week next week! Our door decorations had to be finished by December 5th, and we wanted to share them with you!🎄🎁💚

PreK Parents take note….

Back to School Night is fast approaching! We will meet together on Tuesday, September 13th, from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. We will introduce our teachers, have a brief Title I overview, give people an opportunity to see our classrooms and new spaces and end with a hot dog dinner, compliments of our friends at the Fort Wayne Rotary Club. TO ALL WASHINGTON FAMILIES: PLEASE SEE BELOW ABOUT BUS TRANSPORTATION THIS YEAR!

Parents who did NOT do Online Registration AND need a bus this year, MUST call transportation by 5:00 pm on August 2 (Tuesday) to request a stop (467-1900). You will not automatically get assigned to a bus!!! This is new this year. Your children will not be allowed to board a bus to come home and you will have to come to school to get them!!
If you did ONLINE registration, you are fine. A bus will be assigned to you if you are eligible.

Registration is this Friday and next Monday at Washington Elementary! We will be holding registration in the back playground area. Park in the back parking lot. We don’t have the space in our building yet due to ongoing construction. Spread the word. No indoor access so plan accordingly. See you soon! If you did online registration you only need to fill ou a couple quick forms for us, get car tags if needed, find out your teacher and then you’re out of there!

In-school registration will take place Friday, July 29, 8-1 and Monday, Aug. 1, 12-7. If you completed online registration, you may not need to attend in-person. If you haven't heard from your school, check before you go.

Have you completed online registration for the 2022-23 school year? Do it by Sunday, July 10, to avoid lines at in-person registration later this month. Construction update 7-7-22. I stopped by school today and got some pictures of construction progress!

More progress photos. Office wall is completely down now between secretary and principal office! Exciting to see the progress of that space opening up into one large room. Room 218, that will become the library, is really looking different now with some of the wall removed in the hallway to make for a library entrance. Elevator shaft is coming along. It should be functioning mid September.
