What does it take to become an astronaut?

Hundreds of Girl Scouts and their families came to Purdue University Fort Wayne to explore that question and many more during the Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana STEM Expo.

Former NASA astronaut and engineer Dr. Sandra Magnus joined more than 30 STEM professionals in helping girls discover new possibilities through hands-on activities, interactive exhibits, and inspiring conversations.

For many attendees, the event was more than a day of STEM exploration. It was an opportunity to build confidence, meet role models, and imagine future careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

PFW is proud to partner with organizations that help young people see what's possible and encourage them to dream big.

Purdue Fort Wayne celebrated the ribbon-cutting of W. Paul Wolf Field, a new space that will create even more opportunities for our students to compete, build community, and represent PFW. 🦣🏈⚽️🎉

Our Club Sports athletes represent communities across Indiana and beyond, making this new space an important part of the growing student experience at PFW. In fact, 88% of our Club Sports athletes come from Indiana, with 40% of those students coming from outside the Fort Wayne area.

We’re grateful to W. Paul Wolf for his support and for helping make this new chapter possible for our students. 💛🖤
