Indiana Chargers 16U Black Adrian Goyal earned week 7 player of the week. This award is given to a player who demonstrated outstanding performance over the weekend, carried themselves with a positive attitude, and showed what it means to be a great teammate both on and off the field.

Adrian is a fierce competitor who embodies the true meaning of dedication, development, and hard work. Throughout the offseason, he committed himself to refining his skill set while fully embracing our program’s philosophy. His growth has been tremendous, both on and off the field, and he has made significant strides as a player. As a result of his commitment and continued development, Adrian has established himself as a legitimate college prospect.

COLLEGE
Reese went on to catch at Heidelberg University in Tiffin, OH in 2019. He was a member of the Dean’s List every semester of school, was awarded academic all-conference for the Ohio Athletic Conference for 3 years, and was a magna cm laude recipient upon graduation. While finishing his undergraduate degree, he served as Director of the Seneca County Teen Center. He graduated in 2023 as a double major in both Business Administration and Sports Management, and completed coursework, seminars and volunteer hours in the Life of the Mind Honors Program. While leading a Chargers 16u team to a record of 29-5 in 2024, he completed online coursework earning his MBA.

Reese started training and playing with the Indiana Chargers as a high school junior. In two offseasons, he transformed as a player, seeing increases of 12 MPH and 10 MPH to hitting and throwing velocities respectively, while competing in some of the top tournaments in the midwest in the summertime.

Reese is our catching coordinator that also works with position players, baserunners, and leads our offseason baseball IQ classroom sessions at trainings. He has been coaching with the Indiana Chargers for 6 years, assisting training and facilitating a summer program that has delivered 65 college baseball commits in the timespan.

⚾️MEET OUR STAFF⚾️

HIGH SCHOOL
Brett Wiley is a graduate of Huntington North High School, where he was a standout athlete. He earned All-Conference honors twice and was selected to represent the region in the prestigious Indiana North/South All-Star Game.

COLLEGE
Brett began his collegiate baseball career at the University of Evansville (Division I – Missouri Valley Conference), earning a scholarship as a freshman. He went on to compete in the highly respected Northwoods League, where he was named an All-Star and helped lead the Battle Creek Bombers to a league championship in 2011. Since then he has also been named to the Battle Creek Bombers All-Decade Team.

Seeking greater opportunities to develop and showcase his talent, Brett transferred to Jefferson College (JUCO) in Hillsboro, MO. His impact was immediate—he earned All-Conference recognition and was named First Team All-Tournament at the NJCAA World Series, finishing the season with an impressive .419 batting average.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER:
Brett’s performance at the collegiate level garnered attention from Major League scouts, and in 2012 he was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 13th round of the MLB Draft.
He played a key role in winning the Low-A New York-Penn League Championship.

Maintained a batting average over .300 through his first three professional seasons.

Advanced to Triple-A with the Cardinals organization by 2015.

Continued his professional career with two seasons in independent baseball, earning American Association Postseason All-Star honors in 2016 after hitting .311.

Gained international experience with one offseason season in Australia.

POST-PLAYING CAREER:
Since retiring from professional baseball, Brett has dedicated himself to player development, focusing on hitting instruction and mentorship. Since 2018, he has been providing private training and coaching to athletes of all levels, using his extensive playing experience and deep understanding of the game to help the next generation of players reach their full potential.

He met his wife while playing in Kansas City and they got married in 2019. They have three kids, Malli, Walker, and Madi.
