The JobWorks team had a fantastic time presenting at the Raising the Bar Conference!

We shared how JobWorks leveraged the free Google Ad Grant—which provides eligible nonprofits with up to $10,000 per month in free digital advertising—to scale our outreach and transform candidate recruitment. In partnership with Joanna Wolverton at Nonprofit Megaphone, we activated this grant to grow monthly program foot traffic from fewer than 100 candidates to over 1,400 per month, along with major boosts in site traffic and engagement.

We loved sharing how modern digital tools can build stronger pipelines and connect more individuals to life-changing career opportunities!

A professor recently made headlines for catching students using AI by embedding invisible "prompt traps" in assignment instructions. When students copied and pasted without reading, AI-generated essays contained hidden, irrelevant words that instantly revealed who relied on the tech blindly.

It’s a clever story, but it highlights a critical workplace reality: AI is a powerful tool, but it can't replace critical thinking, digital literacy, or human oversight.
