For DIG member Athena Bauerle, the most meaningful place to share with an out-of-state visitor would be the oldest standing house in Pennsylvania.

Her reason goes deeper than history.

To Athena, this landmark is a reminder of how important housing truly is. In a time when having a safe place to call home feels more meaningful than ever, it speaks to something we can all relate to — the value of shelter, stability, and a roof over our heads.

A simple but powerful pick. 🏡

What Pennsylvania landmark would you choose, and why?

Some places don’t just tell Pennsylvania’s story — they tell America’s. 🔔🇺🇸

For DIG member Joyce Keesey, that place is the Liberty Bell.

Her reason is simple: Pennsylvania has the privilege of being home to one of the nation’s most recognized symbols of freedom and history — and it’s something worth proudly sharing with anyone visiting from out of state.

A great reminder that sometimes the best places to show a visitor are the ones that help them understand the history behind where we live.

What local landmark makes you proud to call Pennsylvania home? 👇

We asked DIG members: If you could take an out-of-state visitor to just ONE Pennsylvania landmark, where would you go? 👀📍

Deepta's pick? The Rodin Museum in Philadelphia — a hidden gem along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and home to one of the largest collections of Auguste Rodin’s work outside Paris, including The Thinker, The Gates of Hell, and The Kiss.

It’s art, history, beautiful gardens, and a little piece of Paris right here in Philly.

Now we want to hear from you — what Pennsylvania spot would you proudly show an out-of-state visitor? Drop your pick in the comments! 👇

A laundry center at one of our member’s rental properties suddenly needed to be replaced — and the timing couldn’t have been worse.

The tenant needed to do laundry that weekend, so waiting around for the “perfect deal” wasn’t really an option. The goal was to find something reliable, get it delivered quickly, and still avoid overpaying.

At Home Depot, the full cart came to $1,600.93 with tax, delivery, installation, and removal.

Instead of checking out, our member shared the cart with a Home Depot representative and simply said:

“Do your best.”

Then came a little comparison shopping.

The exact same model was found elsewhere for $1,384. That price was brought back to Home Depot with one more question: Can you beat it?

They did.

The final Home Depot price came down to $1,344.85 — a savings of $256.08 from the original cart.

And the best part? The laundry center was delivered and installed in time for the tenant to do laundry that weekend.

Sometimes the win isn’t complicated. It’s knowing to compare, knowing what to ask, and being willing to ask for a better deal.

That’s the kind of practical knowledge we love seeing shared within the DIG community.
