A few moments from Saturday’s Mental Health Resource Fair. 💚

Our CEO Iyona Blake spoke about the importance of arresting the stigma surrounding mental health and to introduce HER Cause’s newest initiative, See. Support. Connect.

She began with a simple question:
“If a sister friend came to you in crisis today, would you know what to say or do to support her with care and confidence?”

Too often, the answer isn’t “yes” not because we don’t care, but because we haven’t been equipped with the tools.

That’s why we created See. Support. Connect. to help everyday women recognize signs of distress, respond with compassion, and connect others to support and resources.

Thank you to everyone who attended, stopped by our table, and joined the conversation. Together, we can build communities where every woman is seen, supported, and connected.

💚 See. Support. Connect.

Today is World Mental Health Day.

I want to begin with a simple but important question:
If a sister friend came to you in crisis today, would you know what to say or do?

Many of us care deeply, but when someone is struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, overwhelming stress, or thoughts of hopelessness, we often worry about saying the wrong thing. The truth is, people who are hurting don’t always announce it. Sometimes the signs are hidden behind a smile.

That’s why HER Cause, Inc. created See. Support. Connect., a sisterhood mental health response training designed to help everyday people recognize when someone may be struggling, respond with compassion, and connect them to appropriate support and resources.

This World Mental Health Day, let’s commit to being the kind of community where no one has to suffer in silence.

Because sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is see someone, support them, and help them get connected.
