Good afternoon Silver Sands Families and Friends!!!

I want to take a minute to introduce my self!

My name is Nicole Potter and my daughter is Abagail potter in 3rd grade. I have been SEA chairperson going on my fourth year now and LOVE it.

What is SEA you may ask? I’m here to explain it!

SEA was created the beginning of the 20-21 school yea to replace the PTO. SEA stands for Student Enrichment Association. And that is exactly what we do!

We are the group behind the scenes that organizes activities such as Family Movie Night, the Vendor Fairs, book fairs, and all the other amazing type of family fundraisers we do for the school! These fundraisers go towards all the extras our teachers need to give our children the fun and exciting ways to keep educating. It’s an amazing group. But we are missing just one thing…..

YOU!!!!!

We would love to see more parents come out and share their ideas with us and make each year better then the last!

Our first meeting will be during open house on August 31st at 6:30pm during opening house!

Our normal meeting times will resume afterwards the last Wednesday of the month at 2:45! These meetings can be attended in person or via zoom!

We would love to see you there and hear your amazing ideas. Remember, it’s your involvement that helps shape our children’s education!!! Let’s have an amazing school year!

We discussed our fall vendor event, our third annual movies at the sands, and we are also brainstorming new ideas for fundraisers! Thank you to every one who attended our first SEA meeting of the year! It was great to hear everyone’s input.

For those not aware, last school year Silver Sands got rid of its PTO, and started up SEA instead we meet the last Wednesday of the month at 2:45. Everyone is welcome and your thoughts, views and opinions are strongly encouraged! This is all for our kids and their school experiences!

Can’t wait to see what the next meeting holds!
