Literacy and Language
One of the most important developmental milestones is language development. At Kids & Cribs, we incorporate language into every part of the day. For focused language time, we combine language with literacy. In our Teaching Strategies Creative Curriculum, we utilize Highlight Magazines into our lesson plans. One of the favorite activities is “Find It.” The teacher leads the child in searching for an item and then discussing its attributes.

As part of their Zoo study, the Happy Campers pretended they had to walk across a shark-infested blue ocean and try not to lose their balance! “Balance skills are fundamental to all other motor abilities, from the most basic movements to the most complex motor skills.” The OT Toolbox.
