The Fort Stockton Prowlers put together an impressive week of volleyball, highlighted by a home sweep of Coahoma and strong tournament performances across all three levels.
The Prowlers hosted Coahoma on Tuesday, August 18, and made a statement on their home court. Freshman and JV both earned convincing 2-0 victories, while Varsity completed the sweep with a 3-0 win over the Bulldogs. It was a strong showing from top to bottom for the Fort Stockton volleyball program.
The momentum continued into the weekend as all three Prowler teams hit the road for tournament action.
The Freshman and JV squads competed in the Van Horn Varsity Tournament, where they battled against varsity competition throughout the weekend. The Freshman team put together an outstanding run and finished as Consolation Champions, while the JV squad battled its way into the third-place match before coming up just short. Sophomore Azhra Natividad capped off the weekend by earning All-Tournament Honors for her performance.
Meanwhile, the FSHS Varsity Prowlers traveled to San Angelo and showed plenty of toughness and resilience throughout the tournament.
Fort Stockton opened pool play against a talented Wall team that reached the state semifinals last season. After taking a tough loss in the opening match, the Prowlers responded. Despite battling setbacks due to injuries, Fort Stockton picked up victories over Loraine and Lake View, earning a spot in the Silver Bracket.
On Saturday, the Prowlers kept rolling.
Fort Stockton defeated Miles and San Angelo Central to punch its ticket to the Silver Bracket Championship. The Prowlers' run ultimately ended against a talented Permian JV squad in the championship match, but Fort Stockton walked away from San Angelo with an impressive 4-2 tournament record and a Silver Bracket Runner-Up finish.
It was a weekend that showcased the depth, determination, and fight of the Prowler volleyball program, with all three teams finding success against strong competition.
The Prowlers return home Tuesday, August 24, to take on Denver City. Freshman and JV action begins at 5:00 p.m., with Varsity to follow

In loving memory of Eduardo Esteban Gomez Vela, our FSHS Cross Country team ran his Memorial 5K at Rooney Park this past Saturday. Eddie was part of FSHS XC where his passion for running was impossible to miss. Dino, you are missed, but never forgotten. 🕊️2009-2025🕊️

Our 1st Cross Country practice for middle school and HS offseason athletes will begin on Monday, August 24th 6.00AM at the HS Track. Running is necessary for all sports, so this is your way to get back in shape. See y'all Monday.

🏐 FSHS Volleyball had an incredible weekend at the annual Monahans Tournament! 🏐
All three teams competed with energy, determination, and heart, showcasing their strengths while identifying areas for continued growth.
🔥 Freshman: Finished 5-1 and earned Gold Bracket Runner-Up!
💪 JV: Finished 2-3 and earned Silver Bracket Runner-Up!
⚡ Varsity: Finished 4-2 and battled for the Gold Bracket Consolation Championship, falling just short against a tough Compass Academy team.
From start to finish, our Prowlers showed grit, perseverance, teamwork, and a never-quit attitude. The growth and progress of these student-athletes are exciting to watch, and this is only the beginning!

Panther Tennis goes 1-1 in Brownfield! After a tough 9-10 loss to Levelland, the Panthers bounced back with a thrilling 10-9 win over Brownfield! Diego Falcon came up clutch, clinching the match for the Panthers
