Our students got hands-on today exploring photosynthesis and cellular respiration! Using bromthymol blue, they tested how carbon dioxide levels change during respiration and photosynthesis. 🫧🌿

To take it a step further, students rotated through stations where they used LEGOs to build the molecules involved in both processes and modeled how energy is transferred. 🧩⚡

So proud of their curiosity and creativity; check out the pictures below to see our young scientists in action! 📸✨

Today, our Biology students investigated the enzyme catalase with Mrs. Zeyen. Catalase, found in ordinary baking yeast, speeds up the breakdown of hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen. Students used balloons to capture the oxygen as it was released. The experiment sparked a lot of curiosity; many students left saying they wanted to be scientists!

The Panther tennis team hit the road to the Panhandle, taking on two of the top 4A programs in the state, along with a strong 5A opponent. Despite falling to Randall and West Plains, the Panthers battled for every point, showing grit and refusing to hang their heads. They capped off the trip on a high note, earning a hard-fought win over Palo Duro.
