Future School of Fort Smith

A huge thank you to Solar Under the Sun and the Arkansas Citizens' Climate League for providing our students with the incredible opportunity to participate in their recent training workshop! ☀️🔌

This workshop teaches them how to design and install solar power systems that will be used directly in the Community Garden right here in Fort Smith! 🪴💡

The knowledge and hands-on experience our students gained is absolutely invaluable as they build their futures. We are so proud of their hard work and grateful for this amazing partnership! 🛠️💪

This exhibition week accidentally doubled as "Bring Your Pet to School" week! 🐾 We’ve officially wrapped up presentations, and some of our students brought along their furry friends to help them present. We are so proud of everyone for sharing what they learned and experienced this semester. What a perfect way to wrap up the school year! 🎉

Our students are taking the lead on clean energy this summer! ☀️🎓

We’re so proud of our student participants heading to Solar School from June 4–7. Funded by the Arkansas Climate League, these students will spend four days mastering leadership and site evaluation at Central Presbyterian Church.

The highlight? Our students will head to the Community Garden to get their hands dirty and build a working solar power system from scratch! 🛠️⚡

It’s inspiring to see them gaining real-world skills while providing sustainable energy for Fort Smith. We can't wait to see what they accomplish!

Yesterday, a group of our students had an exciting visit to the Heavy Equipment Operating Academy in Bee Branch! 🚜

It’s safe to say our boys had a blast getting behind the wheel and experiencing what it’s like to operate these powerful and essential machines 💪🏽👷‍♂️

We hope this experience inspires them as they start thinking about where they want their future careers to go! 🌟

Here’s what Project Graduation looks like! 🎉

After graduation, the celebration continued with a post-graduation party at 810 Billiards & Bowling hosted by our amazing senior advisors. 🎳 Students celebrated together one last time while also receiving helpful items to support them as they begin their next chapter into adulthood.
