Proud to see our Assistant Program Director for the ACHE Doctor of Medical Science program, Dr. Rob Gray, leading trauma medical scenarios with military medical professionals from across NATO during Exercise Vigorous Warrior 2026 in Estonia.
This video captures something remarkable—teaching trauma medicine in an underground bunker while preparing providers for the realities of modern conflict and disaster response.
Through strategic partnerships with the NATO Centre of Excellence for Military Medicine and World Extreme Medicine | B Corp Certified, our students and faculty are helping bridge the gap between academic education and real-world operational medicine. These collaborations create unique opportunities to learn from global experts, participate in international initiatives, and contribute to advancing healthcare, disaster response, and military medicine worldwide.
These experiences reflect the mission of our Doctor of Medical Science program and the opportunities available to learners in our Global Health and Humanitarian Medicine and Emergency Management and Disaster Response specialties.
Because leadership and medicine are learned best where they matter most.

The ACHE Doctor of Medical Science at the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE) is committed to addressing this need by creating a more accessible pathway to advanced education.
One of the biggest barriers identified by PA educators is cost. To help overcome this, ACHE is offering a reduced tuition model for PA educators (>0.5 FTE), allowing completion of the DMSc in the Medical Education concentration for a total cost of $8,200.
Other common challenges, time constraints, work-life balance, and unclear career advancement, are also addressed through this fully online, asynchronous program designed specifically for working PA faculty.
As the profession continues to evolve toward doctoral-level preparation, accessible pathways like this are essential to support faculty advancement, promotion, and leadership opportunities.
We are now enrolling for our January 2027 Medical Education Cohort!
