On Saturday, November 9th, the Northside High School Grizzly Battalion JROTC proudly marched in the Fort Smith Veterans Day Parade at Chaffee Crossing, honoring the brave men and women who have served our nation.
We are grateful for the opportunity to show our respect, represent Northside with pride, and celebrate the spirit of service and sacrifice that defines our veterans.

The Drone Team is in Murphy, Texas this morning at this years first Drone Competition! The Flying Grizzlies and the Flying Bears have worked and practiced hard! We are hoping for a great outcome by the end of the day!

This morning, more than 100 Cadets from the Northside High School JROTC Grizzly Battalion participated in the annual Jim Rowland River Valley Run — demonstrating leadership, dedication, and community spirit. We’re proud of every Cadet who showed up and represented the Grizzlies with pride!

Monique Lira – Sophomore, N’Stepper, Percussionist in the Band, Color Guard Team Member, JROTC Raider Team Member, and Sophomore Council Member
Valeria Gonzalez – Junior, Trumpet Player in the Band, Battalion S5, Mayor Youth Council Member, Student & Junior Council Member, Red Shoe Society & Ladies of Excellence Member, Color Guard Team Member, and Avid Church Volunteer for Immaculate Conception Church
Addie Acevedo – Senior, N-Stepper, Clarinet Player in the Band, Captain of the Color Guard Team, JROTC Company Commander, Raider Team Member, FBLA Vice President, and Member of the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council

It’s truly amazing to see how each of these cadets excels in so many areas—academics, leadership, music, community service, and more—while continuing to represent the Grizzly Battalion with pride, dedication, and excellence!
