Southside loses to Greenwood. 3-42. Next week the Mavericks travel to Russellville to take on the Cyclones.

Tonight the Mavs take on the Greenwood Bulldogs. It’s currently halftime with the score of 3-42 in favor of GWood. We will enter the 2nd half under the mercy rule.

The 'Battle of Rogers Avenue' football game between Northside and Southside High School will take place Thursday, August 27 at 7:30 PM at Northside High School. Please review the information below. If you have a question, please contact the Athletics and Activities office at 479-785-2501.

▶️The selection for this year’s 'Battle of Rogers Avenue' honorary captain is Nurse Tracie Mathis. An Arkansas Tech University Nursing School graduate, Nurse Mathis has been a part of Fort Smith Public Schools since 2016. Early this summer, Nurse Mathis was named the Fort Smith Public Schools' COVID-19 Point of Contact. Nurse Mathis now handles all pandemic communication with the Arkansas Department of Health, all contact tracing and investigating, and educating others about COVID-19. In addition, Nurse Mathis also serves as a “float” nurse for the district. Please join us in thanking Nurse Mathis for all her hard work and congratulating her for being selected as this year’s 'Battle of Rogers Avenue' Honorary Captain (she will be a part of the ceremonial coin toss prior to kick-off).
