Earlier today, a contractor's tent blew into some power lines causing a power outage at Northside High School. This event prompted the early release of students from a camp taking place at Mayo Thompson Stadium. All students and staff are safe, and no injuries were reported.
The incident also resulted in a power outage affecting the surrounding area. Crews are on site working to restore service.
We appreciate the cooperation of our students and staff and thank the crews working to resolve this issue.

Members of the Northside Grizzly Guard, Southside Maverick Guard, and Northside Drum Majors spent the week at Frontlines Color Guard & Drum Major Camp, where they dedicated long days to learning technique, choreography, leadership skills, and receiving individualized feedback to grow as performers and leaders.
The camaraderie between Northside and Southside students was inspiring, with new friendships formed and both schools proudly representing FSPS throughout the week.
Their hard work paid off with an impressive list of honors, including:
🏆 Superior Rating for their combined home routine to Pink
🏆 Grand Champions – Color Guard Routine
🏆 Grand Champions – Drum Major Routine
⭐ Multiple Camp All-Star and Honor Roll recognitions
Most importantly, these students demonstrated grit, passion, leadership, and heart every single day. We are incredibly proud of how they represented their schools and our district!

Earlier this spring, students in Ms. Peters’ second grade class partnered with the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education (ACHE) and the ACHE Research Institute Health & Wellness Center for a one-of-a-kind project.
Using the students’ artwork and descriptions as their guide, ACHE students carefully sculpted each monster out of clay, bringing every unique creation to life. When they returned to Carnall for the big reveal, the room was filled with excitement, surprise, and smiles as students met their monsters face-to-face for the very first time. This special collaboration highlights the power of creativity, community, and connection while creating lasting memories for both our students and future healthcare professionals. Thank you to ACHE for helping make these monsters come alive!
