Ten years ago, Community School of the Arts opened its doors with a simple belief — that the arts belong to everyone. 🎨 This August 27th, we’re inviting the entire community to come through those doors and celebrate a decade of creativity, growth, and connection. Join us for a FREE Open House from 5:30-7:30 PM, beginning with a ribbon cutting ceremony by the Fort Smith Chamber of Commerce at 4:30 PM. Tour our facilities, meet our team of professional artist teachers, enjoy live performances, and treat yourself to something delicious from Mili’s Sweet Treats, Ambrosia Snack Bar, Lesismore Beef Jerky, or Fort Smith Soda Co. Everyone's getting anxious to perform!!!

Get ready for an action-packed month at CSA! 🎉 We're thrilled to announce not one, not two, but THREE exciting events that you won't want to miss! 🎉

First up, join us for Brantstock Music Festival on August 21st at Digs, featuring an incredible lineup of live performances that will get you grooving all day long with guest performances by the students and staff from ACCA! 🎶 Enjoy a variety of food and drinks to keep your energy up, and be sure to check out our silent auction benefiting the ICA Art Department - you might just find a unique treasure to take home! 🎨

Then, mark your calendars for our Open House on August 27th at ACCA, where we'll be hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially unveil our new space! 🎉 Take a tour of our facilities, meet our team, and enjoy some amazing live performances that will leave you feeling inspired! 🌟

And finally, put on your dancing shoes and get ready to salsa the night away on August 29th at ACCA! 💃 Our Latin dance workshop is the perfect opportunity to learn new moves, make new friends, and have a blast in a fun and safe environment. 🎉

are so excited to officially announce CSA's fall theatre season along with our new venue partner, Goddard United Methodist Church! They have welcomed us with open arms and have a beautiful space for performances. All of our fall shows will be at Goddard, and we couldn't be more excited, especially with the arrival of our new CSA theatre director, Braden Miller!

Shrek The Musical KIDS will be our Children's Theatre Company (grades K-3). Rehearsal dates will be Wednesdays from September 2 through November 4. Tech week will be November 8-11. Performance dates will be November 12-14.
How to Train Your Dragon The Musical Jr. will be our Junior Theatre Company (grades 6-8). Rehearsal dates will be Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from September 8 through October 2; and rehearsal dates for October 2-22 will be on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Tech week will be October 18-22. Performance dates will be October 22-24.
Frozen Jr. will be our Kids' Theatre Company (grades 3-6). Rehearsal dates will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from September 22 through December 3. Tech week will be December 6-10. Performance dates will be December 10-12.

Community School of the Arts will be hosting our open house on August 27th from 5:30-7:30pm! Also, at 4:30pm, the Fort Smith Chamber of Commerce will be coming out to do a ribbon cutting in honor of going into our 10th year as an organization! CSA students and families are welcome to meet their new teachers, but anyone is welcome to come to learn more about us and just have a fun evening! We'll be giving tours of the facilities, answering any questions you may have, signing people up for classes! We'll even have live performances from our faculty and local vendors selling hand-crafted goods! One of these vendors will be Mili's Sweet Treats!

Arkansas Center for the Creative Arts is now a ClassDojo institution! From here on out, all communications to current students and their families will be sent via ClassDojo. Each family is required to have ClassDojo to receive the appropriate communication. Teachers will now be required to communicate with current students only through ClassDojo. Students and their families must also communicate to their teachers through ClassDojo (except for sensitive student-information which can be done through email, phone, or in-person communications). With ClassDojo, you can receive the MOST up-to-date information across both CSA and ICA, and you can even see what your students are working on in class! ClassDojo will make our communications much more streamlined, and you can expect to see much higher engagement with this new tool. We are so excited to bring this platform to ACCA!
