BIG CONGRATULATIONS to our 2026 Youth of the Year, Naveah Hurston!

We are beyond proud to celebrate this incredible Goldtrap Club kid who continues to lead with heart, purpose, and excellence.

Naveah is a senior at Northside High School, where she maintains a 4.0 GPA, is a member of the National Honor Society, and dances on the varsity dance team. Here at the Club, she gives back as a youth volunteer and serves as an assistant coach for our Pom Squad — pouring into younger members the same encouragement and leadership that helped shape her.

What matters most to Naveah?

Creating safe, supportive spaces where young people feel valued, encouraged, and believed in. She knows firsthand how powerful it is to have adults who check in, push you to grow, and remind you that your circumstances do not define your future. 💙

Through her journey at the Club, Naveah built confidence and leadership — and now she uses her voice to help others do the same. She describes herself as resilient, compassionate, and dedicated — and we couldn’t agree more.

As our 2026 Youth of the Year, Naveah will receive a $500 scholarship and go on to represent Fort Smith in the statewide Youth of the Year competition in April — with the opportunity to advance and represent the entire state! 🌟

After graduation, she plans to attend University of Arkansas - Fort Smith and continue building a future centered around growth, leadership, and impact.

Naveah, you are proof that when young people are supported and believed in, they rise. We are so proud to stand behind you as you take this next big step. Fort Smith is rooting for you!

We are SO excited to be hosting a little steppers clinic again this year!!

The clinic will be January 24th from 12:30-2pm with a parent showcase at 2! They will then perform their routine at our home game on the 27th!

We hope to see your little stepper there!✨🪩🐻

We are getting excited to see you all out at the 2025 Trick or Trails event at Ben Geren Park THIS SATURDAY!

Join Fort Kids Children’s Museum for a not-so-scary Halloween adventure at Ben Geren Park! 🌳🍬

✨ Walk our one-mile nature trail featuring 15 trick-or-treat stops with candy and fun surprises around every bend!

✨ Costumes encouraged (but not required) — come as you are and enjoy the fall magic!

✨ Meet more than 20 amazing community partners who are helping us bring Halloween fun for kids and grown-ups of all ages!

🗓️ Date: Saturday, October 25th ; 2:00pm to 4:00pm

📍 Location: Ben Geren Park Trails (follow the park signs to the Disc Golf parking lot ; southeast corner of the park)
