We would like to congratulate Mrs. Brittany Siefring for completing extensive training and testing to become the newest bus driver at Fort Recovery Schools! She will be driving some extracurricular trips in the future. Brittany was hired as a full time custodian last school year and is a tremendous asset for our district. Welcome and thank you Brittany!

Fort Recovery’s Homecoming Ceremony will take place at the football game on Friday, October 9th at 6:30 p.m. The Indians are playing the Parkway Panthers, and kickoff will be at 7:00 p.m. The Homecoming dance is hosted by the Sophomore class and will be held on Saturday, October 10th, from 8-11 p.m. This year’s theme is A Night in New York.

October is School Safety Month in Ohio. Each week we would like to provide a few quick tips to help keep our students safe! Fort Recovery Local Schools provides 7 bus routes for our students that travel nearly 400 miles daily! Please be aware of these buses as you travel around the district. Parents of young drivers, please be sure to take a minute and talk about the attached graphic if you can!

Update Contact Information

Parents,

As we continue into the school year, it is important to make sure that all your contact information is up-to-date in Final Forms. For example, below are a few common mistakes that we notice:
- Using a work email as your main email but have changed jobs recently and have not changed emails in Final Forms.
- Home phone numbers being listed under cell phone numbers in Final Forms. If this is the case, we cannot send text message alerts to home phones.
- Parent cell phone numbers being listed under student cell phone numbers or no student cell phone number listed at all (if applicable).

Please take a few minutes to double check your Final Forms account to make sure these issues don't impact your ability to receive timely information from the school district.
Please contact the district or your child's school building office if you have questions or need assistance.

Congratulations to 8th grader Zoey Wendel on receiving a perfect score on her 7th grade ELA state assessment last spring.
