Welcome!

Welcome to our band director -Mr Logan Klump! There will be a “Meet the director meeting on Wednesday, July 15th at 7 pm in the HS Commons. All band students 5-12, parents and community members are invited! Hope to see you there! Please share!

Hello, my name is Logan Klump, and I am the new band director and music teacher here at Fort Recovery. This will be my fourth-year teaching, and my primary instrument is the trombone. I’ve directed multiple performing ensembles including marching band, MS & HS concert band, basketball band, and I also play in my local community & jazz bands.

I graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Music degree, and was a proud member of The Marching 110 during my time in college. Outside of teaching I enjoy spending time with friends and family, as well as playing disc golf in the local parks.

My experience as an educator has influenced my teaching philosophy greatly. I believe in empowering young musicians to find success not only in music and the classroom, but in all aspects of their lives as well. I always enjoy seeing students improve their skills, especially when something “clicks” and they understand a concept they are working on. Music has been such a major part of my life, and I cannot wait to share the world of music with the students at Fort Recovery!

What a great way to wrap up our final assembly before summer break! ☀️📚🎨

We were excited to welcome Mrs. Toni LeFevre from the public library to share information about this summer’s reading program and all of the fun activities happening at the library throughout the summer. Be sure to check your child’s papers coming home for more information about how to participate and keep reading all summer long!

We also celebrated our talented first and second grade students who participated in the VFW coloring contest. Congratulations to all of the students who received awards for their creativity and hard work, and thanks to Mr. Ken Lamm for coming to present the awards.

Finally, we recognized students who demonstrated our May character trait: Creativity — using your imagination to create something new or solve a problem. We are proud of the many ways our students show creative thinking both inside and outside of the classroom each day.

Thank you to our community partners for helping make this assembly so special. We hope everyone has a safe, fun, and creative summer! 💙💛

Our 4th graders recently explored the world of entrepreneurship by creating their own student-run stores and selling products to the students. Along the way, they learned valuable lessons about creativity, teamwork, budgeting, marketing, and customer service.

Their hard work and innovation paid off in a big way. Together, they raised $1,000 to purchase new books for our school library! We're so proud of their effort, leadership, and generosity in giving back to our school community. Shout out to Mrs. Dues for leading them in this project!
