👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🏀 Parent vs. Player Night Recap! 🏀

Last night, we welcomed parents onto the court to battle it out with their kids! While we only had 4 parent-player pairs, the level of competition was through the roof from the opening tip. 🔥💪

The kids came out swinging and took Game 1, proving they’ve been paying attention all summer. 😤👏

But the parents weren’t about to let that happen twice… 😅 They bounced back and absolutely cooked in the final game, reminding everyone they’ve still got a little game left in the tank. 🏀😂

There was plenty of hustle, laughs, friendly trash talk, and great sportsmanship all night long. Best of all, everyone walked off the court healthy and smiling. We can’t promise they woke up feeling the same way this morning! 🤣💥

A huge thank you to the families who came out and made it such a memorable night. We can’t wait to do it again!

Congratulations to Andrew Riek of Team Charlotte on being named the Full Bucket Hoops Summer League Finals MVP!

Andrew delivered another dominant performance when it mattered most, leading the champions with 18 points while putting together a remarkable shooting performance. His impact was felt on both ends of the floor, as he controlled the game offensively and anchored the defense in Charlotte’s championship victory.

Throughout the season, Andrew consistently demonstrated outstanding effort, teamwork, and leadership. He embraced his teammates, appreciated their contributions, and played a major role in the culture that helped make Team Charlotte champions.

🏆🔥 CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP 🔥🏆

Charlotte is your Full Bucket Hoops Champion, defeating New York 52-36 with a complete team performance from start to finish! 🏀🥇

Charlotte’s balanced attack was the difference, with three players finishing in double figures. Andrew Riek led the champions with 18 points, while Jacksyn Fonville added 13 and Chanyn Fonville chipped in 12. 💪🔥

The championship wasn’t won by scoring alone. Led by Coach Jaylen Farrar, Charlotte played outstanding team basketball with relentless defense, unselfish ball movement, and contributions from everyone on the floor. Gretchen Woelffer scored 5 points, Cannon James added 4, and Caleb Schneider embraced his role and made several winning plays that helped seal the championship. 👏🏆

New York entered the title game after an impressive semifinal upset over Boston, but playing a back-to-back proved to be a difficult challenge. Matthew Murray once again led all scorers with 23 points, continuing his remarkable season. Radeen Malek caught fire early, scoring 6 points in the first quarter and leading all scorers at the end of the opening frame before Charlotte gradually took control of the game. 💥

Congratulations to Charlotte on an outstanding season and a well-earned championship! Enjoy celebrating that 🏆 all summer long—we’ll see everyone back on the court next season. ☀️🏀

🏀🔥 Semifinal Recap 🔥🏀

The #3 seed New York pulled off the upset, defeating #2 seed Boston 35-23 to earn a spot in the championship game! 🚨👏

Once again, Matthew Murray showcased why he’s been one of the league’s most dominant players, pouring in 19 points while creating opportunities for all four of his teammates in a game where New York played without a single substitution. 💪

Tatum Layton added 7 points, Cheryl Snow chipped in 4, Sammy “Buckets” Kamil scored 3, and Radeen Malek finished with 2 as every New York player contributed in the biggest game of the season. 🔥

Boston never stopped competing, but the shots just wouldn’t fall. Grady Sheehan turned in a season-high 14 points and made his presence felt on both ends of the floor. He also drew his first charge of the season, showcasing the hustle, toughness, and defensive instincts that have become a staple of Boston basketball. 🛡️💚

Both teams shared the ball, defended with intensity, and left everything on the court. In the end, New York’s ex*****on and relentless effort proved to be the difference, setting up a championship showdown with #1 Charlotte. 🏆

🏆 REGULAR SEASON MVP 🏆

Congratulations to Andrew Riek of Team Charlotte on being named the Full Bucket Hoops Summer League Regular Season MVP!

Andrew was one of the driving forces behind Charlotte’s outstanding regular season. On a team known for its balance and unselfish play, he consistently made an impact in every facet of the game. He scored at all three levels, moved the ball with confidence, and helped elevate the players around him.

Defensively, Andrew anchored the paint by battling in the post, controlling the glass, and giving Charlotte countless extra possessions with his rebounding.

His complete game, leadership, and consistent contributions were a major reason for Charlotte’s success and made him a deserving recipient of this year’s Regular Season MVP.

Congratulations to Cannon James of Team Charlotte on being named the recipient of the Jeremy Barefoot Integrity Award!

Cannon consistently represented everything this award stands for. He showed up for his team, worked hard, remained coachable, supported his teammates, and brought a positive, team-first attitude every time he stepped on the court.

Whether his team was winning or losing, Cannon continued to compete, listen, work, and represent Team Charlotte and Full Bucket Hoops with tremendous character.

🔥 Charlotte put together a dominant performance, taking down New York 39-20! 🏀💪

Chanyn Fonville led all scorers with 12 points, while Jacksyn Fonville added 10 and Andrew “AR” Riek chipped in 9. Gretchen Woelffer and Cannon James rounded out the scoring with 4 points each in the victory. 👏🔥

New York’s struggles started early, but the team showed tremendous heart and battled all the way through the final buzzer. 💯🏀 Tatum Layton led New York with 7 points, followed by Radeen Malek with 6, Sammy Kamil with 3, and Cheryl Snow with 2.

And in true never-quit fashion, Sammy Kamil knocked down a buzzer-beating layup to cut the final deficit from 21 points to 19! ⏰🔥👏

With the regular season coming down to its final game this week, Charlotte is looking like the team to beat. 👀🏆
