Today Cadets alike at Fort Pierce central gathered in honor of the tragedy that took place on September 11, 2001 with a small ceremony with a flag detail and presentation. Lead by instructors SGM Brian Huston and MSG Martin Arcillia, and our battalions top four leadership, leadership, and drill captain(s)
This day 25 years ago, the North Tower of the World Trade Center was hit by a commercial airplane and all of America held its breath. It wasnโt until the second tower was hit that we really knew that we were under attack. Every second and every minute counted, and every live lost live saved call made or rescue team sent played its role in the next two decades to come. Every year we remember this tragedy, but we also honor the family and friends we lost, the soldiers who fought and are still fighting, every firefighter every nurse, every policeman and woman, who were braver than words can describe.
But the grass in that Pennsylvania field -where the fourth plane had devastatingly crashed when American citizens showed bravery beyond measure and fought back against terrorist- would regrow, and the lights that stand in New York City today are symbols of our nationโs patriotism, honor duty and respect. Behind every meme and every bumper sticker is a real tragedy that shook the nation to its core and will forever be remembered in our hearts and minds as American citizens.
God bless America. ๐บ๐ธ
