🎶 Talk about a FUN training! 🎶

Our preschool educators had a blast last week at Beyond the Beat: Music & Movement! 💃🕺 From nursery rhymes to new vocabulary, Tier 2 words, generative thinking, and perceptual-motor skills, educators discovered how music and movement can be so much more than just getting the wiggles out! 🎵🧠

And let’s be honest… we had THE BEST participants! 👏 They jumped in, moved, sang, laughed, and fully embraced the fun. Because when our educators get into it, the learning gets into it, too! 😉

A huge THANK YOU to Quality Specialists Mariel Broffman and Lina Lloyd for bringing the energy and making learning this much fun! ❤️

An informed community is an empowered community! 🙌

At our August Provider Meeting, we were grateful to welcome Sean Boyle, CEO of the Children's Services Council of St. Lucie County and State Representative Dana Trabulsy as they shared information about Amendment 3, which Florida voters will see on the ballot this November.

The goal wasn’t to tell anyone how to vote—it was to give our providers the opportunity to learn, ask questions, and be informed. We also loved having several of our Board members there, engaged in the conversation and asking questions alongside our providers.

Representative Trabulsy also encouraged our early childhood community to reach out to their Representative to share concerns, ideas, or simply make sure the voices of our providers, children, and families are being heard.

Our children benefit when their community comes together, asks questions, and stays engaged. ❤

Thinking about NAEYC Accreditation, but wondering how your program will manage everything that comes with the process?

You don’t have to figure it all out alone. 💙

FLAEYC is inviting centers interested in NAEYC Accreditation or re-accreditation to join us for a special virtual information session about Cohort 3.

We’ll talk about what participation looks like, answer your questions and share the support that may be available to eligible programs through grant funding, including classroom observations, team training, feedback on accreditation assessment items and ongoing guidance from the FLAEYC AFP Team.

And one of the best parts? You’ll be going through the journey alongside other programs working toward the same goal.

📅 Wednesday, September 2
⏰ 1:00–2:00 PM ET
💻 Virtual via Zoom

👉 Register vis FLAEYC's Event Calendar or scan the QR Code.

Tag or share this with a center director who has NAEYC Accreditation on their radar!

Our Early Learning Coalition team was excited to participate in Tunnels of Hope at schools throughout St. Lucie County!

During the first few weeks of school, our staff had the opportunity to welcome children as they began a brand-new school year, offering smiles, high-fives, encouragement, and a little extra support to help make those first days feel special.

We are proud to be part of a community that comes together to remind children that they are seen, supported, and surrounded by people who believe in them.

Here’s to a wonderful school year filled with learning, growth, and endless possibilities!

There’s something special about stepping outside of your own classrooms and centers to learn from the people doing the work right alongside of you. 💜

Our Leading the Way Directors’ Network recently had the opportunity to visit Bambini’s Kingdom Gatlin, and we are so grateful to their team for opening their doors and sharing their experiences with our directors.

From thoughtful conversations about program operations and accountability to the simple things that build a strong staff culture (like making coffee for your team every morning ☕️💕), our directors walked away with ideas, inspiration, and plenty to take back to their own programs.

That’s what makes these visits so valuable. We can talk about quality, leadership, compliance, and best practices all day, but there is something powerful about walking into another program, asking questions, seeing things in action, and learning from one another.

It’s collaboration over competition. It’s sharing what works. It’s celebrating one another’s strengths. And it’s making early childhood education stronger across St. Lucie County. 💜

A huge thank you to the Bambini’s Kingdom team for welcoming our Leading the Way Directors’ Network and making this learning experience possible!

And we have to say… our Directors’ Network crew is looking pretty good in those shirts! 💜😊

Math Adventures in Action! 🔢

Our Preschool teachers explored “67 Ways to Take Preschoolers on Math Adventures” and learned how to create engaging, hands-on math experiences that can be woven throughout the day. From play and routines to everyday learning moments, teachers discovered new ways to make math meaningful and fun!

A big thank you to our Quality Specialist, Jocelyn Lomangino, for facilitating this engaging training and helping educators see just how many opportunities for mathematical thinking are already happening in their classrooms!

Because when we turn everyday moments into math adventures, learning adds up!
