ICA is proud to offer opportunities that help students grow both inside and outside the classroom, and our Marksmanship Club is a perfect example.

What makes this program so special isn’t just the competition. It’s the character it helps build along the way. Marksmanship teaches students patience, focus, responsibility, self-discipline, and confidence. It challenges them to stay calm under pressure, pay attention to details, and continually work toward improvement.

Just as importantly, it creates a community. Students encourage one another, celebrate each other’s accomplishments, and learn the value of dedication and sportsmanship.

In a world full of distractions, there is something refreshing about a sport that rewards concentration, perseverance, and personal accountability. The lessons learned on the range often carry over into the classroom, at home, and throughout life.

We are grateful for the students, families, coaches, and volunteers who make the ICA Marksmanship Club such a meaningful part of our school.

📚 Summer Reading is in full swing!
A little reading each day helps students maintain the skills they've worked so hard to build throughout the school year. Whether it's a chapter before bed, a quiet afternoon with a favorite book, or time spent completing summer reading assignments, every page matters.
Families, be sure to review your student's summer reading requirements and encourage them to stay on track before August arrives!

This summer, the ICA Ducks are spreading their wings!
Every ICA staff member received their very own duck to take along on their summer adventures. From road trips and family vacations to professional conferences, beach days, farm days, and even lunch around town, our ducks will be tagging along every step of the way.
Throughout the summer, we'll be sharing photos of our traveling ducks as they explore near and far. Some may be easy to identify, while others might leave you guessing!

This is why ICA is different.

The school year is winding down. The big events are behind us. Summer break is just days away.

Yet our students continue to show up.

As ICA prepares for the exciting move into our new Upper School campus, students spent part of their day helping faculty, staff, administration, and maintenance pack, organize, and prepare for the next chapter of our school’s story.

What stood out wasn’t the work itself. It was the students.

Kids being kids. Working hard. Laughing. Helping. Taking pride in their school.

No phones. No drama. No complaints.

Just respectful, responsible, fun-loving young people willing to jump in and lend a hand.

These moments don’t happen by accident. They are the result of a school culture built on character, responsibility, self-governance, and service to others.

Today was a reminder that education is about so much more than academics. It’s about developing young men and women who are willing to contribute, lead, and serve.

We are incredibly proud of our students and grateful for the culture that makes moments like this possible.
