Are you trying to get a toddler to listen? Here’s my perspective … it’s about understanding that they are brand new fresh human beings. Personally I believe it is asking too much to expect them to listen at this age. Rather as a calm leader I believe it’s about following through on what needs to be done regardless of whether they are listening to you. For example, if you say it’s time to brush teeth, I would calmly follow up with actions by helping them brush their teeth. P.S.
