I would love the opportunity to work with your child. If he or she is struggling in reading or math, I have years of experience in tutoring, along with a Master’s degree in Elementary Education, and I am currently an educator.

I truly have a heart for children, and at my core, I want to see every child succeed. I will do everything in my power to help your child grow, going the extra mile and being their biggest cheerleader along the way. I firmly believe that every child can learn when given the right tools and when they know someone truly believes in them.

I also aim to make the learning experience fun and help students develop a genuine love for learning. I understand the importance of education because I have experienced how it can change and elevate your life through hard work and perseverance. I would love the opportunity to inspire your child because you are never too young to start making strides toward your goals.

Yes,I will read to them while he or she eats.
Yes, I will give your child short play breaks for good behavior and trying their best.
Yes, I will praise your child for big improvements as well as small ones.

Why ?

I care.

I want to see he or she succeed. According to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs a child’s needs have to be met in order for he or she to learn. We are busy people so Yes , let’s meet at McDonald’s and ignore the noise. I want to make sure your child feels safe, that he or she feels they belong and their self esteem is high. I want them to believe in themselves and know that I believe in them.

I watched one of my tutor students graduate today. The feeling in my heart when she crossed the stage let me know that I am in the right profession. One day I told her she was doing a great job to which she replied “ It is because I love you “ I pray to always show love and let each child I come into contact with know they can achieve their dreams. When a child feels loved there is no limit to the things they can accomplish. Congrats grad !

Today I am headed to the birthday party of two students I tutor. In my eyes my job does not end after a session. I will go the extra mile and ensure that each child I tutor knows that they are important and worth my time. In each session I do my best to encourage my students and give them faith in themselves. It is my mission to show up to birthday party’s and other special events and feel honored to be asked to attend.

I am implementing punch cards. I think it is important to set a goal. Once my student reaches ten “ points” he or she gets a reward. Achievements such as getting a good grade on a test or just showing he or she is working hard and giving their best gets them points. I want my students accomplishments to be acknowledged and celebrated.

Happy Tuesday today we did letter sound bingo. Strengthening foundational skills while getting some fun in. Just like in building a house when you are building on knowledge it is imperative to be 100 percent certain you have a solid foundation to build upon. In my opinion it is so important to also incooperate fun so a child is able to attribute work to being a good thing and not just a requirement.
